This news surfaced when Facebook user Maria Daniella Bermudo uploaded snaps of the shoes last December 12, 2017. She captioned her post with gratitude to the incumbent mayor:

They are white running shoes with blue laces and lining. What’s more noticeable is the seal of Makati City imprinted at the heel of the shoes. Sneaker-enthusiasts dubbed these shoes as the ‘Air Jejomar 1’ and ‘Binay Baller Brand’ sneakers, in reference to NBA player Lonzo Ball’s Big Baller Brand sneakers.
According to Esquire, the shoes look like a rip-off of the TechLoom Pro, running shoes released by an American sneaker brand, Athletic Propulsion Labs, except these shoes are designed black and white.
Mayor Mar-Len Abigail S. Binay-Campos is the 4th member of the Binay family to become the local executive chief of the city of Makati. She took her oath of office on June 27, 2016. Present during the oath-taking was her father ex-vice president Jejomar Binay, her mother Elenita, her siblings Senator Nancy, former Makati Mayor Junjun, her husband Luis Campos, and their daughter Martina.
This was not the first time the Binays showed a charitable gesture to their constituents. Back in the day, Makati city went on a sugar rush when former Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay and their father, who was the incumbent vice president that time, gave free cakes to senior citizens who celebrated their birthday.
