Although the holiday season has passed, these two siblings received a late Christmas present after their father, an overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), pulled an epic surprise on them. The father returned to the country only recently and he had something special in mind for his kids. The tear-jerking moment was recorded and uploaded by their old man on Facebook, a certain Jecjec Batalla, yesterday. Little did they know that the post would reach thousands of online users overnight.
In the video, a girl and a younger boy were seen playing an arcade game in an amusement center at the mall. All the while, a menacing tall man wearing a jacket, cargo pants, cap, sunglasses, and a face mask was standing behind them. The two didn’t seem to mind him, perhaps because they thought that he was only a random onlooker.

The man decided to sit down beside the young boy. This was when the child got curious and stared back at the man who was sitting too close to him. While he appeared confused, his sister could be seen smiling, like she already got the feeling that it was their dad.
Then it suddenly dawned on the boy. He knew this man. He let out a big smile and exchanged a look with his sister. They both stared at the tall guy for a bit, anticipating what he would do. It took long a while before the OFW took off the face mask, as if he was cherishing the genuine beam on his kids’ innocent faces.

But after he did so, the children’s reaction was priceless.

The boy, who was skeptical at first, couldn’t help but jump and give his father a big hug. Shortly after, his ate joined them—and it was such a beautiful sight to see (it certainly did help that the OFW put Phil Collins‘ “You’ll Be In My Heart” as the background music).
