Most of us dream of having a memorable wedding and what better way to preserve that memory than with a perfectly captured photograph. Thanks to a spontaneous occurrence, this wish was granted to newlyweds Arlo Gerald De La Cruz and Maria Hussa Maica De La Cruz. They were striking romantic poses for their post-nuptial shoot when the Mayon Volcano basically photobombed them.
The newly-christened Mr. and Mrs. De La Cruz were grateful that they were able to capture this once-in-a-lifetime event. Arlo added that the Mayon Volcano eruption symbolizes his love for Maica – hot and explosive!

As of this writing, the spectacular photograph has already garnered around 47,000 reactions, over 15,000 shares, and about 3,500 comments. Netizens were truly amazed by the image, with some dubbing it as the “wedding of the year.” Other commenters also poured out their ‘hearts’ and best wishes for the lovely couple.

Arlo and Maica’s wedding video is also starting to trend online. In the beginning of the 5-minute vid, Maica can be heard saying her vows for her beloved. She narrates that their love story began ten years ago and she had no idea that the two of them would end up in front of the altar.
She said while holding back tears:
“Thank you for being a good man, a good boyfriend—you are the love of my life. You made me a better and a strong person. Today is the day, kahit pumuputok pa yung bulkan, walang makakapigil. No Plan B, no shortcuts.”
