Suicide remains one of the top reasons why young people die, apart from illnesses and accidents.

Fortunately, one suicidal boy from China was saved from killing himself when he was kissed by a 19-year-old girl on the lips.
According to China Daily, Liu Wenxiu was walking on a pedestrian bridge in Shenzhen when she spotted people staring at a male teenager who was holding a knife. He was at the edge of a guardrail.
Liu immediately went up to him when she realized that no one was trying to help. She said in an interview, “I saw him get more and more excited – everybody around was just looking, nobody was trying to step up and help.”

She added that she has been in the teenager’s shoes as well. Apparently, Liu also became suicidal several times before. She disclosed, “He had to be saved – because I’ve been there before and I knew exactly how it was.”
Liu also revealed that she told the police officials she was the suicidal boy’s girlfriend. She even said that she was the cause of the suicide attempt.
Eventually, she admitted that this was not true. The 19-year-old said, “The fact is I’d never seen him before, but that’s the only idea I could come up with at the time.”
It turns out that the boy’s mother had passed away. He was left with a stepmother who didn’t treat him well. The woman abandoned them when she took his father’s money away.

That forced him and his father to get part-time jobs as a means to survive.
When Liu found this out, she cried and showed him her right wrist which was marked with scars. She shared in an interview, “I used to be suicidal – I’ve attempted cutting my artery, jumping from a high building and others.”
Just like the suicidal boy, she grew up in a difficult family situation wherein she was forced her to quit her studies as a teenager.

Towards the end, Liu gave him a hug and kissed him right on the lips. The authorities immediately grabbed the boy from the guardrail and pulled him towards their direction.
Liu added that when she kissed him, both of them were crying so hard.
She also gave him her number so that they could talk about their situation and hopefully become friends.
