Mothers look forward to the time where they get to give birth. After nine months, they would finally get the chance to meet their loved little one. They say that childbirth is the most painful thing anyone could experience, but it will be worth it once you see your baby. However, this woman from Romania saw something else when she thought she was in labor.

Madalina Neagu, 42, was more than ready to meet her baby. One day, she felt an extreme pain in her tummy and she thought it was time for her to give birth. So the ‘expecting’ woman went to the hospital believing she was in labor.
Unfortunately, there was no baby inside the woman’s belly who looked 9 months pregnant. Doctors revealed that he was not carry an infant, but an 11lb tumor located in her uterus.

Botosani County Hospital advised the woman to undergo surgery to avoid further complications.
“As the woman told us she was pregnant, we initially expected pregnancy complications. In fact, the size of her belly was quite similar to that of a nine-month pregnant woman, so we didn’t have any reason to doubt what she told us.” Doctor Dorin Scladan said.

Later, Neagu agreed to do the operation which lasted many hours. Thankfully, the surgeons were able to successfully remove the huge tumor. After the surgery, the patient was brought to the intensive care unit.

It was so sad that the woman actually waited for nothing. However, she is lucky that medical experts were able to remove the tumor from her body. It could have caused more serious threats to her health had it continued to grow.
