Remember the beautiful Daiana Menezes, the gorgeous model who used to be a co-host in GMA-7’s “Eat Bulaga”? Yes, the stunning Brazilian national whose career blossomed in the Philippines due to her exotic looks and sweet personality. For five long years, she was the sunshine of the longest-running noontime show before finally deciding to resign and pursue a different path. Now, six years later, Daiana is back in the limelight as a model and host.
As a young girl, Daiana had a lot of exposure in the fashion industry because of her father’s business. She eventually pursued a course in Fashion Design, graduating from the New York Film Academy. The aspiring model then received a lot of offers to work abroad, and she eventually found herself pursuing a career in the Philippines.

Daiana started out as a TV ad model, working her way up in the showbiz industry to finally become a famous TV personality. The multi-awarded model also found herself getting featured in a lot of magazines, with her career booming as her recognition grew.

She was finally included in the “Eat Bulaga” family as one of its hosts, and it wasn’t long before the public fell in love with the sweet and beautiful Daiana. However, despite her hard work finally paying off, the host decided to leave the show to pursue something else — love.
In 2012, Daina got married to Cagayan de Oro Rep. Benjamin Benaldo in Las Vegas. It seemed like a match made in heaven, but the reality was different.

Their honeymoon period did not last long. A year after their marriage, the former host started posting photos on her social media accounts alluding to domestic violence. In 2016, Daiana confirmed that she has finally divorced her husband.
According to a report by BT News Flash, the model allegedly said in an interview:
“I couldn’t make it anymore. ….I think naiintindihan niya din niya kung bakit. … emotionally unstable, siguro? I mean hindi siguro talaga kami meant para sa isa’t isa … Talagang I fell out of love. Decision ko talaga ‘yon.
So I filed it na, and then I also filed a temporary protection order and a restraining order dahil kailangan ko ‘yan.”

However, Daiana, just like the Amazonian superhero of her namesake, is strong and resilient. She chose to move on from that dark period of her life and rebuild herself. Now, Daiana Menezes is once again taking the country by storm as she goes back to her modeling and hosting careers.
