In the world of fast cars, powerful engines, and sleek sports aesthetics, the Philippines is no where near the top. We usually associate the creativity and production of supercars with European countries such as Italy, Germany, and Sweden. But three years ago, the country entered the car scene. Feast your eyes on the Philippines’ very first supercar – the Aurelio Automobile.
This impressively built luxury car was worth around PHP 1.6 million back in 2016 and is produced by the Laguna-based car producer Factor Aurelio Automobile. The geniuses behind the first Philippine supercar is Brendan Aurelio, and brothers Bryan and Kevin Factor.

Kevin is in-charge of researching about the car’s internal mechanics while Brendan is held responsible for the vehicle’s exterior and interior. The older Factor, meanwhile, is the brains of the company because of his business experience.
According to Carmudi Insider, the team wanted the supercar’s production “to further boost local automotive manufacturing in the Philippines.” The car’s engine performance and specifications may not be at par with the Italian brands but it still makes a mean roar.

Reportedly, the Aurelio can be fitted with two engines: the Honda B16A V-TEC engine and the 2.0 liter Mitsubishi 4G63T turbocharged engine.The car boasts 18-inch Rota wheels and was built with fiberglass and carbon fiber. The car has stylish scissor doors and a cabin that is also made of the same materials.
The supercar has still a long way to go but it is great first try. Netizens who have witnessed the car’s capability can’t help but commend the amazing vehicle.
