The comedian and his boyfriend, Kent Juan Resquir, have been in a long distance relationship since July last year. Kent had to fly to Australia to work as a physical therapist and physiotherapist, thereby leaving his beloved behind. Although their setup had to change drastically, the couple still makes it a point to make each other feel loved and cared for.
In his Instagram post, Boobay wrote, “You may not always be here at my side, but you are always right here in my heart. I miss you.”
Kent’s reply was just as sweet, telling his boyfriend, “I love you every single day of forever.”
Norman Balbuena, also known as Boobay, was born in the Zambales province and is the eldest of four children. He is perhaps best known for appearing in several GMA shows as a co-host.
As a soldier’s son, the TV host once shared that he did not always find it easy to be honest about himself.
When he realized he was gay, the comedian said he initially tried to hide the truth about himself. He even tried to have a girlfriend. Although it was difficult for him, Norman eventually mustered the strength to come out and be his true self. It took some time before Norman’s father learned to accept him. Thankfully, he now enjoys a loving relationship with his family.
In November 2016, the comedian suffered a stroke and was confined in an intensive care unit. His family, including his boyfriend Kent, took care of him and never left his side.
Now, it seems like the comedian has finally found his true love in Kent. It’s clear distance is no issue for this loving couple.
